scalar and vectors quantities can be added or not?

what is the appropiate answer for this question?

Nope never, scalar and vectors can’t be added.

Reason:- In case of scalar only magnitude is involve but in case of vectors direction is also involved .So its impossible to add both.

But when we thought deeply then we arrive at conclusion that null vector is a vector it’s mean it must have direction no matter in which direction it is. So, we said that it’s impossible to add zero to a null vector because both are different physical quantities.</div>
