i know its also in first year but plz can any one tell me that what is the exact relation between bond size n shielding effect n why ?

actually shielding effect is the reduction in the force of attraction of nucleus for the outermost electrons due to the inner electrons between them

so as the force of attraction between the nucleus and outermost electrons decreases electrons can be removed easily .so electropositive in character and if it make bond with electronegative than bond length will be reduced due to polarity otherwise the bond between same elements usually involve sharing of electrons not transfer..
